Top Book Recommendation

Stubb, Tony. Living with Soul, Vol. 1 & Vol. 2: An Old Souls Guide to Life, the Universe & Everything, December 2005 & February 2007.

If I were an author this is the book that I would like to have written!

On the back cover of the first volumn, this is what it has to say:
"Living with Soul picks up where every other spiritual book leaves off. It totally overturns our outworn ideas of God and our role in the universe by answering 'The Big Four Questions':

   * Who am I really?
   * Where did I really come from?
   * Why am I really here?
   * Where will I really go when I die?

From my perspective as a vociferous reader, this is simply the best spiritual book I have ever read. To me, it says "Truth" with a capital T (although Tony points out that all truth is relative).

Some of you will find it enlightening. Others may take offense at some of his claims particularly with regard to the chapters on "The Great Identity Theft: The God Myth" and "The Great Jesus Conspiracy".

Top Ten Books
The ten books noted below have all had a profound impact on my life in one way or another, and I highly recommended them. There are also many other books and videos that I recommend, but these are the top ten.
* Bear, Sun & Wabun. The Medicine Wheel: Earth Astrology, April 1980.
This book "... is a compendium of fascinating information about various animals, minerals, and plants, including their characteristics, their healing and spiritual qualities, as well as the uses made of them by native people of this continent."
*

Heinlein, Robert. Stranger in a Strange Land. 1961.
This seminal work of fiction influenced a whole generation. The story introduces the concept of “water brothers”, and understanding or “groking” things at a deep spiritual level.

* Levoy, Gregg. Callings: Finding and Following an Authentic Life, September 1997.
Callings examines "... the many kinds of calls we receive and the great variety of channels through which they come to us. This is an exceptionally well written book, and I highly recommend it.
* Maslow, Abraham H. Towards a Psychology of Being. 1962.
This book served as my introduction to humanistic psychology and the concept of self-actualization.
* Roads, Michael. Talking with Nature & Journey into Nature, July 2003.
This is quite simply one of the best books I have ever read. If you love nature or are on a spiritual path, this is the book for you.
* Ruiz, Don Miguel. The Four Agreements: A Practical Guide to Personal Freedom, January 2001.
The four agreements are these: Be impeccable with your word. Don't take anything personally. Don't make assumptions. Always do your best. It's why and how one should do these things that make The Four Agreements worth reading and remembering. It’s amazing how these four relatively simple statements can be so complex and such good guidelines for how to live one’s life.
* Schlemmer, Phyllis V. & Jenkins, Palden. The Only Planet of Choice: Essential Briefings from Deep Space. August 1993.
This book offers an interesting view of what it means to be human, the purpose of life, why we are here, and where we could be going. “Its underlying theme is free will and the power of the inhabitants of Planet Earth to create a better, more harmonious world.”
*
Tsu, Lao. Tao Te Ching, March 1997. (translation by Gia-Fu Feng & Jane English)
Written by Lao Tsu in the sixth century BC this is a simple, quiet book that reflects upon our true nature and our behavior. The eighty-one verses in this book set forth the spiritual philosophy of Taoism.
* Stubbs, Tony. An Ascension Handbook. 1991.
Talks about what ascension is and how to do it. This is an essential book for all Lightworkers.
* Yogananda, Paramahansa. Autobiography of a Yogi, 1946.
This book has changed my life in ways that I cannot even begin to describe. If you are ready for it, this is a truly amazing story of a spiritual journey.
